Mike Gallagher, chief executive officer

Mr. Mike Gallagher brings over 25 years of telecommunications, networking, and wireless industry experience to the company. Before joining SpiderCloud Wireless, Inc. as chief executive officer in February of 2008, Mr. Gallagher was the chief executive officer of FiberTower, Inc., a company he joined via the merger with First Avenue Networks in 2006 where Mike Gallagher was the chief executive officer. Mr. Gallagher was previously the president of Flarion Technologies, a company acquired by Qualcomm. At Flarion, Mr. Gallagher led the mobile broadband communication company’s day-to-day operational strategy, sales and marketing, and expansion into Europe and Asia. Before joining Flarion in March 2001, he was the senior vice president for worldwide sales and operations for Nortel Networks' IP Services business unit (formerly Shasta Networks acquired by Nortel in April 1999). Prior to Shasta Networks, Mr. Gallagher led Bay Networks’ North American sales operations. At Bay Networks, he had profit and loss responsibilities for an organization of 1,500 people with annual revenues of more than $1.5 billion. Bay Networks was acquired by Nortel in September 1998. Before Bay Networks, Mr. Gallagher held positions with Synoptics, AT&T and Network Equipment Technologies. He holds an MBA from Pace University and a bachelor’s degree in business from Fordham University.

 

 

Behrooz Parsay, senior vice president of engineering and operations

Behrooz Parsay joined SpiderCloud as its new senior vice president of engineering and operations in January, 2010. Mr. Parsay has over 20 years experience in bringing wire-line and wireless products and systems to market and has previously held RF engineering and management positions with Aperto Networks, Ericsson, DIVA, Kestrel, and Lantern Communications. Mr. Parsay holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Chico State University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University.

 

 

Theresa McCarthy, vice president and general counsel

Ms. McCarthy is vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of SpiderCloud Wireless, Inc. In her role as general counsel, she is responsible for overseeing SpiderCloud’s legal affairs, including all intellectual property matters, corporate affairs and human resources. Prior to joining SpiderCloud, Ms. McCarthy served as vice president, general counsel of Flarion Technologies, Inc., an OFDM technology company purchased by Qualcomm, Inc. in 2006. While at Flarion, she was responsible for all worldwide legal matters, including litigation, intellectual property protection, government affairs, and customer, partner and vendor contract negotiations. Ms. McCarthy led the negotiations of Qualcomm’s acquisition of Flarion and joined Qualcomm subsequent to the close of the acquisition. Prior to Flarion, she was general counsel of NeoPoint, Inc. and vice president, senior counsel at NextWave Telecom. Previously, Ms. McCarthy was with the law firm of Baker & McKenzie. Ms. McCarthy received a B.S. from Suffolk University and her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law where she was executive editor of the International Law Journal.

 

 

Ron Pelley, vice president and managing director for Europe

Mr. Pelley is SpiderCloud Wireless, Inc.’s vice president and managing director for Europe. Mr. Pelley has over 20 years of experience in the wireless and wire line networking industries. Most recently, Mr. Pelley led European business development activities at Qualcomm, Inc. Prior to Qualcomm, Mr. Pelley led the European sales team at Flarion Technologies, a company acquired by Qualcomm in early 2006. While with Flarion, Mr. Pelley secured technology trials with Vodafone and T-Mobile which then led to commercial deployments in Germany, Finland and Slovakia. Michael Finlayson, vice president of systems engineering

Mr. Finlayson has more than 20 years of field experience working with telecommunications, networking, and wireless companies. Before joining the company, Mr. Finlayson was the senior vice president of technology with FiberTower, a San Francisco based wireless backhaul company. Prior to FiberTower, Mr. Finlayson was the vice president of technology with First Avenue Networks (a company later acquired by FiberTower). Before joining First Avenue Networks, Mr. Finlayson served as senior technical consultant for Flarion Technologies where he was responsible for technical consulting worldwide, including the deployment and testing of 3G/4G mobile broadband networks for major cellular operators across the U.S., Europe and Asia. Prior to Flarion, Mr. Finlayson held technical management roles for Shasta Networks, a company later acquired by Nortel Networks. Prior to his tenure with Shasta Networks, Mr. Finlayson held engineering and management positions with Wellfleet Communications (which became Bay Networks though the merger with Synoptics). Mr. Finlayson began his career in networking at the University of Buffalo. Mr. Finlayson holds a bachelor degree from the University of Buffalo, New York.

 

 

Ronny Haraldsvik, vice president of marketing

Mr. Haraldsvik joined SpiderCloud Wireless, Inc. as vice president of marketing in July, 2008. Mr. Haraldsvik has over 20 years of global strategic marketing and industry experience across a range of technology segments including wireless broadband, wireline networking and IP services, RFID, personal computing, wafer fabrication, software, and consumer devices. Mr. Haraldsvik held positions at Qualcomm, Inc., where he was vice president of strategy and market development and vice president of marketing for mobile broadband. Mr. Haraldsvik was previously the vice president of marketing at Flarion Technologies, a company acquired by Qualcomm. At Flarion, Mr. Haraldsvik led all marketing efforts in support of industry awareness for Flarion and the introduction of its FLASH-OFDM technology. Before joining Flarion, he was the vice president of marketing with Nortel Networks’ Shasta IP Services business unit. Former positions include director of field marketing while with Bay Networks (acquired by Nortel Networks) and marketing positions with Silicon Graphics as well as several leading advertising agencies in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Ahmet Tuncay, vice president of product management

Ahmet Tuncay joined SpiderCloud Wireless as Vice President of Product Management in August, 2010. Mr. Tuncay has more than 20 years of entrepreneurial experience in IP networking and wireless businesses for enterprise and telecom customers. Prior to joining SpiderCloud, Mr. Tuncay served as the senior vice president at Trapeze Networks (acquired by Belden Inc.) with responsibility over product management, business development, marketing, and the office of the CTO over a span of 6 years. At Trapeze, Mr. Tuncay managed the company’s business, product, and technology activities with its channel, OEM, and technology partners. Prior to Trapeze, Mr. Tuncay was the co-founder of SolarFlare Communications developing high-performance physical layer semiconductor solutions for data-center networking. Mr. Tuncay also served as the vice president of product management at PairGain Technologies (acquired by ADC Telecom), and held management roles at SynOptics/Bay Networks and Electronic Data Systems. Mr. Tuncay holds an MSEE degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from The George Washington University, and a BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

 

 

Russell Agle, director of business development

Mr. Agle joined SpiderCloud Wireless, Inc. in July, 2008 as the director of business development. Mr. Agle has 12 years of experience in the field of wireless broadband and software applications. Most recently, Mr. Agle was the vice president of corporate development at IAG Research where he doubled revenue from wireless network operators in one year. He was also director of business development with Flarion Technologies, responsible for partnering discussions with network operators and equipment vendors. Prior to Flarion, Mr. Agle was a manager at PWC Consulting, where he worked with wireline and wireless network operators. Mr. Agle holds an MBA in corporate finance from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Email Russell
